Every analysis is free. Pro is for the days you ask a lot.
No analysis is locked. Market and wealth briefs, insight reports, risk, valuation and FIRE projections all run on the free plan. What a plan buys is how many questions a day: 3 on free, 100 on Pro. Recording and drill-downs never count against either. Start free, no card required.
Free
For a few questions a day.
- 3 questions a day, counted across the connector and the app together
- Every analysis included: market & wealth briefs, insight reports, risk, valuation, FIRE projection
- Recording, editing and deleting never count against it
- Holdings, concentration, benchmark and other drill-downs never count either
- Works in the Claude / ChatGPT connector and in the Opula app
Pro
RecommendedFor the days something happens and you want the whole answer.
- 100 questions a day. On free, 3 is one brief plus a single follow-up
- For the days you ask in bursts: earnings, a sharp drop, a rebalance
- No analysis is locked. Recording and drill-downs are unlimited on every plan
You are told before anything is charged, and you can cancel anytime.
What counts as one question
These five spend a question. The drill-downs you call while reading the answer (show_*) are the same question continuing, so they do not.
- Market brief (your portfolio and the market, in one call)
get_market_brief - Wealth brief (net worth, cash flow, liquidity, goal)
get_wealth_brief - Insight report (deep dive on a ticker or theme)
get_insight_report - FIRE projection (Monte-Carlo net-worth simulation)
project_net_worth - What-if simulation (P&L impact of a shock you assume)
simulate_scenario
3 a day on free · 100 a day on Pro
Never counted
- Every drill-down: portfolio, risk, valuation, financials, dividends, earnings, news, macro, FX, thesis tracking
- Every write: transactions, balances, cash flows, monthly settlements
- Settings and account management
Why volume, and not features
The "brain" (briefs, risk) used to sit behind Pro. That broke the moment the same analysis became available inside the Opula app: one person would be blocked in Claude and served in the app, which reads as arbitrary rather than as a price. Volume is one axis both surfaces can meter honestly. So nothing is locked.
Opula is a rule-based data and education tool, not investment advice. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy (Merchant of Record), which handles invoices and VAT automatically.
Frequently asked questions
What is Opula?+
Opula is an analyst that only looks at your money. Sign in and ask about your net worth, portfolio risk, or when you'll reach financial independence, and it answers with your real numbers. You can also connect it to the Claude or ChatGPT you already use and ask from there.
Does Opula connect to my bank?+
No. Opula never links a bank or brokerage account and doesn't use Plaid. You record holdings and cash flows in plain language ('bought 10 shares of Tesla'), so nothing depends on account credentials or a data aggregator. Everyone else promises not to misuse your logins; Opula has no promise to make. That's also how it tracks assets no bank feed can see.
Is my financial data private and safe?+
Your data is stored on its own, separate from every other user. Opula never links a bank or brokerage account, so you hand over no passwords. You can delete everything at any time. To answer a question, Opula sends only what that question needs to a model. Inside Opula that is the model we run. Through a Claude or ChatGPT connection it is the one you already use.
What can Opula actually do with my money?+
It reads and records, nothing more. Opula cannot place a trade or move money, because there is no brokerage or bank connection to do it through. Writes (adding, editing, deleting an entry) run only when you ask for them in the conversation, and your AI asks your permission before it runs an Opula tool at all. Reads are scoped to your own account.
How much does Opula cost? Is there a free plan?+
Signing up gets you 30 questions a day for 14 days with no card, then you move to Free. No analysis is locked. Market briefs, risk, recommendations and FIRE projections all run on the free plan. The only difference is how many questions a day you get: 3 on free, 100 on Pro, which is $9.99/month or $99/year. Recording, editing and drill-downs never count against either plan. Move up only when the daily questions run short.
Why not just ask ChatGPT or Claude directly?+
You can. But a plain chatbot only sees what you paste. It guesses at an answer, forgets it by the next chat, and sometimes makes a number up. Opula holds your real figures. It runs the same fixed math on them every time, so the wording may change but the numbers under it never do.
Can I use it inside the Claude or ChatGPT I already have?+
Yes. Opula is also a standard MCP connector, so it works inside Claude and ChatGPT (and any MCP-capable client). Connecting just lets you ask the same data from there, so wherever you ask, the numbers are the same ones.
Can it track crypto, real estate, or non-US assets?+
Yes. That includes what bank feeds and other trackers miss: Korean physical gold, jeonse deposits, unlisted equity, crypto, and holdings in any currency. You type each value in a few seconds. Opula then tracks it next to your stocks and counts it in every projection.
Do I need to be a developer?+
No. Setup is signing in with Google. No API keys, no code, no configuration. Then you just talk to it.
